Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services in North America seeks an experienced Superintendent to oversee large-scale long-haul ILA installation projects. You will manage day-to-day field operations, develop robust project plans, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

You will anticipate client needs, provide practical solutions, share expertise, mentor project staff, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent or similar role.
• Knowledge of underground fiber installation, civil or wireless construction a plus.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline is an asset.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors.
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Lead development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs; oversee incident investigations.
• Review and update construction schedules; address delays; contribute to project schedules.
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
• Report and track financial aspects of the project.
• Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations.
• Set priorities and allocate resources for the entire field team.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff.
