Job summary

BD is seeking a Technical Support Specialist 2 to resolve complex technical issues across BD’s medical technology platforms. The role focuses on ES 1.1x remediation, server-to-station understanding, and strong collaboration with ES upgrade teams.

Hybrid onsite/remote work in the United States, with a requirement for in-office presence several days per week to support rapid problem resolution and high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft SQL experience including writing queries and analyzing data.
• SSIS exposure/experience and SQL Reporting Services knowledge.
• Windows Server administration and desktop management skills.
• Networking knowledge and familiarity with IT concepts (DNS/DHCP, IIS, AD).
• VMware terminology and administration basics; Wireshark experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for ES 1.1x remediation efforts with cross-functional teams.
• Resolve complex, time-sensitive customer escalations and downtime issues.
• Document case notes thoroughly and maintain data quality in Salesforce.
• Collaborate with field service teams and upgrade teams to ensure timely communication.
