Job summary

BD is hiring a Technical Support Specialist 2 to assist in resolving complex, time‑sensitive issues for ES 1.1x upgrades. You will troubleshoot, document, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

The role requires Windows/SQL expertise and a strong understanding of BD products within hospital IT and pharmacy workflows. Remote work from home is possible; on‑site collaboration remains part of the culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electronic Technologies or 3+ years of equivalent experience
• Microsoft SQL experience (2+ years)
• Must be able to write queries and analyze SQL data (i.e. Select and Join statements) within complex database structures
• SSIS (SQL Job) exposure/experience
• SQL Reporting Services
• Windows Server (2008+) and Desktop Administration (Win7+)
• Networking topology, terminology, commands
• IIS and Web Application Administration
• Group Policies Terminology and Administration
• VMWare Terminology and Administration
• Application Installation and Troubleshooting
• Ports (Networking/OS)
• Understanding of XML language (1+ years)
• Ability to review application and OS logs (2+ years)

Responsibilities

• Provide CSC support for ES 1.1x upgrade and implementation, including customer escalations
• Collaborate with ES 1.1x upgrade team to ensure timely communication and coordination
• Maintain knowledge of ES 1.1x to troubleshoot and support effectively
• Answer inbound calls, callbacks, and escalations on the 1.1x Channel
• Document case notes with high data quality in Salesforce
• Offer progress updates and seek customer feedback to ensure needs are met
• Demonstrate BD products in hospital IT environments and pharmacy workflows
