Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United States is seeking students for a 12-week Summer Internship in Technical Sales, designed to develop technical, business, sales engineering, leadership, and communication skills.

The program provides exposure to Sales Account Managers, the design and sale of HVAC systems, and the chance to pursue a Graduate Training Program after graduation. Roles may be remote, hybrid, or onsite across North America.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering throughout the internship.
• Completed at least sophomore year before start date.
• U.S. citizen or have right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license for 12+ months and able to provide insurance information.
• Some roles may be remote, hybrid, or onsite across North America.
• Travel expected: <15% in the defined geography.
• This is a safety-sensitive position as designated by the company.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand design, application, and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, functions, and customer meetings with mentors.
• Learn steps sales engineers take from start to finish and assist hands-on.
• Build strong relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact.
