Job summary

Vaisala Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for its Industrial Measurements sales team in Burlington, MA.

This hybrid role focuses on supporting inbound sales, delivering technical guidance, and driving revenue growth across multiple high-tech industries. You will collaborate with outside sales, product management, and marketing, report to the Head of Inside Sales, and use CRM tools to manage customer data and activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline is preferred.
• 2+ years in technical sales or related industries (HVAC, environmental monitoring, instrumentation).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management and organization; ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to learn market, product and application knowledge; interpret technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support inbound sales activity and provide solutions via video, phone, email, and chat.
• Provide technical expertise and product recommendations for measurement topics (humidity, CO2, dew point, hydrogen peroxide, barometric pressure).
• Develop understanding of customer industries to identify strategic outside sales opportunities.
• Travel with outside sales team for presentations and trade shows as needed.
• Input customer data and daily activity in CRM tools.
