Job summary

Vaisala is seeking an Application Sales Engineer in Boston to join our Industrial Measurements sales team. You will support customers with humidity, CO2, dew point, hydrogen peroxide, and barometric pressure solutions, working with outside sales, product management, and marketing to drive revenue and industry expertise.

The role offers a hybrid work model with initial in-person training, opportunities to travel, and a strong emphasis on collaboration and customer focus within high-tech

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3–5+ years of technical sales or related industry experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce, SAP) and MS Office.
• Ability to travel as needed and work hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support sales activity and provide solutions for diverse customer needs via live video meetings, phone, email, and chat.
• Provide technical expertise and product recommendations related to humidity, CO2, dew point, hydrogen peroxide, and barometric pressure measurements.
• Develop understanding of customer industries to identify strategic opportunities for outside sales and product management.
• Travel independently to support presentations, trade shows, and customer needs.
• Conduct and present market research and analysis.
• Attend and present at technical conferences, webinars, and related events.
• Collaborate with marketing and product management to create technical documentation and marketing resources.
• Develop webinars and technical training presentations for customers and internal teams.
• Input customer data and daily activity using CRM tools.
