Job summary

MRC Global Inc. is seeking a sales-support professional to serve external and internal customers in the sale of instrumentation and controls and to assist with procurement-related tasks.

The role involves sizing actuators, quoting, order entry, and maintaining accurate product and pricing records. The ideal candidate has a related undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, strong PVF product knowledge, and prior customer service or inside sales experience.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Strong knowledge of PVF products, reasoning, analytical, math and reading skills.
• Two or more years in customer service, inside sales and/or warehouse services with increasing responsibility, including demonstrated sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support for customers regarding technical specifications of products, and troubleshoot applications as needed.
• Size pneumatic and electric actuators for use on valves.
• Enter and maintain purchase orders, customer orders, procurement match and trade discounts as needed.
• Maintain records including rebate files, stock transactions, price catalogs, customer lists, product catalogs, and discounts.
• Establish rapport and provide prompt responses to inquiries about material and the sales function.
