Job summary

Vaisala Inc. is seeking an Application Sales Engineer to join our Industrial Measurements sales team in Burlington, MA, with a hybrid work model and initial in-person training.

You will support customers across high-tech industries, providing humidity, CO2, dew point, and related measurements expertise while collaborating with marketing and product teams to drive revenue growth. The role reports to the Head of Inside Sales and requires a bachelor’s in engineering with 3–5+ years of technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3–5+ years of technical sales or related industry experience (HVAC, environmental monitoring, instrumentation).
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office; ability to learn product knowledge quickly.

Responsibilities

• Support internal/external technical questions and propose solutions via video, phone, email, and chat.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations for humidity, CO2, dew point, hydrogen peroxide, and barometric pressure measurements.
• Develop understanding of customer industries to identify opportunities for outside sales and product management.
• Travel independently to support presentations, trade shows, and customer needs.
• Conduct and present market research and industry analysis.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create technical docs and resources.
• Develop webinars and training presentations for customers and partners.
• Input customer data and daily activity in CRM system.
