Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Technical Communications Coordinator to provide expert technical support to technicians and staff, develop and deliver training programs, and troubleshoot complex equipment issues in field and shop environments.

The role will involve serving as liaison between the dealership and equipment manufacturers, maintaining knowledge of models and technologies, and supporting field technicians with guidance as needed. Travel to various sites is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Five years of heavy equipment maintenance/repair experience, with two years in a training or technical communicator role.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment systems and components.
• Ability to travel to field locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical assistance for heavy equipment diagnostics, maintenance, and repair to technicians.
• Develop and deliver technical training programs for staff and customers.
• Serve as the liaison between the dealership and equipment manufacturers for technical information.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment models and technologies sold by the dealership.
• Perform root-cause failure analysis when needed and assist warrant administration with technical information.
• Monitor technical proficiency and provide feedback for improvement to technicians and supervision.
• Document and disseminate technical bulletins, service manuals, and other documents.
