Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. seeks a Technical Communications Coordinator to provide expert technical support to technicians and staff and develop training programs for customers.

This role involves troubleshooting complex equipment issues and serving as the liaison between the dealership and manufacturers. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of heavy equipment systems, strong documentation skills, and the ability to travel to various sites to deliver training and on-site guidance,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Five (5) years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, repair, or technical support.
• Two (2) years in training or technical communicator role.
• Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment systems and components.
• Proficient in interpreting technical data, manuals and schematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to various sites, including field locations.

Responsibilities

• Communicates Kirby Smith vision and core values.
• Provides advanced technical assistance for equipment to technicians regarding diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
• Serves as the primary contact for resolving complex technical issues.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of equipment models and technologies sold by the dealership.
• Performs root cause failure analyses when needed.
• Assists in preparing and disseminating technical bulletins and manuals.
• Supports field technicians with on-site guidance.
• Maintains detailed records of issues and training guidance.
