Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Geek Squad Agent to assist customers with technology support at our local store. You’ll receive training to assess needs, perform basic services and collaborate with teammates on more complex repairs. If family or friends bring tech questions, this role could be ideal.

You will help customers with device setup, explain whether to repair or replace, and communicate clearly with other agents. A flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
