Job summary

Best Buy's Geek Squad Agent position is the first point of contact for technology support at our local store, helping customers assess needs and decide on repairs or replacements. You will be trained and supported to perform basic services and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs.

In this role you’ll work with a team, complete certified training, and communicate clearly while maintaining knowledge of evolving tech. Flexibility to work holidays, nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout process.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
