Job summary

Best Buy's Geek Squad Agent role places you at the front line of technology support in Charlotte, NC. You’ll assess customer needs, perform basic services, and collaborate with other agents for more complex repairs, with training provided to build your knowledge and skills.

Daily tasks include helping customers with check-in and checkout, setting up new devices, and advising on repair versus replacement while maintaining accurate notes and timely estimates.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
