Job summary

Best Buy’s Geek Squad Agent role places you on the frontline helping customers with technology support and solutions in our store. You’ll receive training and resources to assess needs, perform basic services and partner with other agents on more complex repairs.

If family and friends come to you with tech questions, this could be the perfect role. You’ll work to provide friendly, timely service, diagnose issues, set up devices and guide customers on repair or replacement options.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
