Job summary

Best Buy’s Geek Squad Agent role is the first point of contact for customers seeking technology support and solutions at our local store. You’ll learn to assess needs, perform basic services, and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs, while helping friends and family get the best tech advice.

You will deliver friendly, timely service, explain options and set expectations, and continually grow your tech knowledge through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Passion for technology and desire to solve problems.
• Adapt and learn new skills in a fast-paced industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and advise on repair or replacement options.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
• Collaborate with other team members to resolve issues and deliver great customer experiences.
