Job summary

Colonial Group in Farmingdale, ME is seeking a Tech-Advisor to support automotive service teams. You will alternately work as service writer and technician, ensure safety, educate customers on vehicle conditions, and drive VIP program adherence to deliver a better customer experience.

You must obtain ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1, A4, A5) and complete LMS and vendor trainings; a valid driver’s license and Equipment Safety Certification are required. 40-hour workweek.

Responsibilities

• Maintain workplace safety as Priority #1; follow safety policies and training; report unsafe conditions.
• Work at the counter as a service writer, educating customers on vehicle conditions.
• Work in the shop as a technician, take work orders and complete services per VIP standards.
• Complete required training and certification for both Service Writer and Installation Technician.
• Achieve above-average customer engagement and billed hours through VIP productivity.
• Learn VIP processes and execute duties to improve customer experience.
• Attend LMS and vendor training; obtain BATS, TPMS, ASE certifications; communicate with team; deliver 5-for-5 process; attend meetings.
• Maintain facility and equipment; ensure clean service department; log issues in the database.
• Enforce Code of Ethics and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with management to ensure policy compliance.
• Support Service Manager to hit targets via reports.
• 5-day, 40-hour work week; punctuality and attendance.
