Job summary

VIP, Inc. in Hanover, MA is seeking a Tech-Advisor who blends customer service with technical know-how to help customers understand their vehicle conditions and VIP processes.

You will work at the counter as a service writer when needed and in the shop as a technician, maintaining safety standards, completing LMS and ASE trainings, and driving customer engagement and productive hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is priority; follow safety policies and training.
• Assist at the counter as service writer and educate customers on vehicle conditions.
• Work as technician when needed; complete services per VIP standards.
• Maintain LMS training and vendor courses; pursue ASE certifications (P2, G1, A4).
• Communicate effectively with team; participate in daily huddles and store meetings.
• Train and support the 5-for-5 process to educate customers about vehicle conditions and options.
• Attend off-site trainings as needed; manage facility and equipment maintenance.
• Enforce service code of ethics and comply with regulations; ensure clean service area.
• Adhere to attendance and schedule requirements; typical 5-day, 40 hours.
