Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Tech-Advisor to join our service team. The role involves counter service as a writer, shop technician duties when needed, and ongoing training to meet VIP standards.

You will educate customers on vehicle conditions, follow safety policies, and collaborate with the Service Manager to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Candidates should have automotive service exposure, two-year college training recommended, and ASE Service Consultant certification.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
• ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required

Responsibilities

• Provide counter service as a service writer when needed and educate customers about vehicle conditions.
• Assist in the shop as a technician and complete required services per VIP standards and procedures.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and facility/equipment readiness; follow all safety policies and training.
• Attend LMS and vendor trainings; pursue required ASE and related certifications.
• Support management to achieve performance targets and communicate effectively with team throughout shifts.
