Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform TBI C&P evaluations, review Veterans' records, and prepare detailed VA DBQs in compliance with VA and HIPAA standards.

The role requires MD or DO, board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry, and an active unrestricted license. The position emphasizes thorough assessments and precise documentation with no prescribing or ongoing patient management.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the practicing state.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
