Job summary
DirectShifts is seeking a physician to conduct Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension examinations for veterans. You will review medical records, perform detailed evaluations, and complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) with careful documentation.
Role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, precise medical reporting, and collaboration with clinical teams to ensure timely submissions. MD/DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry and an active license are
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
- Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
- Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
- Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
- Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
- Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
