Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to conduct VA-required TBI C&P evaluations. The role involves reviewing medical records, performing detailed evaluations, and preparing objective reports. No prescribing, treatment planning, or follow-up care is required.

The ideal candidate is MD or DO, board-certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R, with an active license in the state. Flexible scheduling includes full-time, part-time, or PRN; strong documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
