Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to conduct Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations and complete VA DBQs with accuracy and timeliness. The role involves reviewing medical records, assessing cognitive and physical residuals, and producing detailed reports, while adhering to VA, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.

Requirements include an MD or DO and board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry, with an active, unrestricted license.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
