Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations and review Veterans' medical records. The role requires MD or DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R, and an active license in the practice state.

Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, accurate DBQ completion, and detailed medical reporting while ensuring VA/HIPAA compliance. No prescribing or follow-up care is required, with flexible scheduling options available.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO and board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the practice state.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive TBI C&P examinations.
• Review medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation before evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals from TBI.
• Complete VA DBQs accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and admin teams to ensure timely submission of evaluations.
