Job summary

DirectShifts seeks a physician to perform comprehensive TBI C&P examinations and complete VA DBQs. You will review veterans' records, assess cognitive and physical residuals, and prepare detailed reports while ensuring VA and HIPAA compliance.

MD or DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry and an active state license is required. Flexible scheduling and strong administrative support are provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Board Certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry).
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
