Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations and VA DBQ documentation. You will review veterans' records, assess cognitive and physical residuals, and prepare detailed medical reports in a compliant workflow.

The role requires an MD or DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry, plus an active unrestricted license. Flexible scheduling options are available, with no prescribing or ongoing patient management.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice is required.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
