Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform comprehensive TBI C&P examinations and review veterans' medical records and imaging to assess residual impairments. The role emphasizes accurate DBQ completion and detailed medical reporting without providing prescribing or ongoing patient management.

The ideal candidate holds an MD or DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry and an active, unrestricted license. Administrative support and flexible scheduling are provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the practicing state.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
