Job summary

DirectShiftsis seeking a physician to review medical records and conduct detailed TBI C&P evaluations for VA requirements. The role involves assessing cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals, with no prescribing or ongoing patient management.

Flexible scheduling and strong administrative support are provided. Ideal candidates hold an MD or DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry and an active, unrestricted license in the practicing state.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
