Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations, reviewing records and completing VA DBQs. No prescribing or ongoing patient management is required.

Applicants must hold an MD or DO degree, be board-certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry, and possess an active medical license. Flexible scheduling and supportive administration are provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO; board-certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
