Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a qualified physician to perform TBI C&P examinations and review Veterans' records, ensuring thorough documentation and VA compliance.

The role involves reviewing medical imaging and supporting documents, assessing cognitive and physical residuals from TBI, and preparing objective medical reports without prescribing or ongoing patient management. Licensure in CA and board certification are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active state license.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
