Calqulate Metrics Ltd. seeks a hands-on Tax Manager to own the ASC 740 income tax provision and coordinate outsourced tax functions with external advisors and internal stakeholders.

The role sits at the center of tax operations, driving accuracy, timelines, and strategic tax considerations. You will lead provision activities, engage with auditors, and oversee multi‑jurisdictional tax compliance while identifying tax savings opportunities and planning strategies.

Qualifications

• ASC 740 income tax provision experience.
• Experience with C-Corp federal and state tax compliance.
• Familiarity with outsourced tax environments (Big 4 / regional firms).
• Working knowledge of Avalara or similar sales tax systems.
• Proven ability to manage audits, resolve tax issues, and work with tax authorities.
• Strong project management and coordination mindset.
• Ability to operate independently in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual ASC 740 tax provision: current & deferred calculations, journal entries, reconciliations.
• Perform provision-to-return true-ups and variance analysis.
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations.
• Serve as primary liaison with external tax advisors.
• Review federal and state income tax returns and workpapers.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and open items; support audits.
• Oversee outsourced sales/use tax compliance processes.
