Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Managing Director of Tax Operations to lead major operational programs and enterprise initiatives across Tax, ensuring strategy, governance, and delivery alignment. This role partners with Tax leadership to translate priorities into scalable operating models and measurable outcomes, driving transformation and long-term growth.

The role focuses on governance, performance visibility, and cross-functional execution, with oversight of Directors and Senior Associates to advance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience with 15+ years in operations
• Fifteen+ years in public accounting, professional services, or similar environment
• Experience leading cross-functional programs from strategy through implementation
• CPA or PMP preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of Tax transformation initiatives and other high-priority operational programs
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans with clear ownership
• Drive governance, performance visibility, and escalation resolution
• Partner with Finance and Tax leadership on budgets and metrics
• Coach and develop operations leaders and teams
