Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Managing Director, Tax Operations to lead major operational programs across Tax, aligning strategy, governance, and delivery. The role partners with Tax leadership to translate priorities into scalable operating models, cross-functional plans, and measurable outcomes.

It drives governance, performance visibility, and transformation across the Tax practice to enable long-term growth. The position requires extensive experience in public accounting or professional services,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or 15+ years in operations.
• Fifteen+ years in public accounting, professional services, or a similar environment.
• Experience leading large, cross-functional programs from strategy to implementation.
• CPA or PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of Tax transformation initiatives and major operational programs.
• Translate priorities into actionable plans with clear ownership.
• Drive governance routines and performance tracking for visibility.
• Partner with Finance and Tax to monitor budgets and performance metrics.
• Coach and develop operations leaders and teams.
