Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Managing Director, Tax Operations to lead major operational programs across Tax, aligning strategy, governance, and delivery. You will partner with Tax leadership to translate priorities into scalable operating models and cross-functional execution plans that drive growth and efficiency.

The role emphasizes governance, performance visibility, and collaboration with firmwide functions to advance transformation and long-term results in the Tax practice.

Qualifications

• Fifteen or more years in public accounting, professional services, or similarly complex matrixed environment.
• Significant experience leading business/enterprise transformation initiatives at scale.
• Proven success guiding large, cross-functional programs from strategy through implementation.
• Experience advising senior leaders and influencing executive decisions.
• Preferred CPA and PMP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of Tax transformation initiatives and other high-priority operational programs.
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans with clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
• Drive governance routines, performance tracking, and execution standards across Tax operations.
• Partner with Finance and Tax leadership to monitor budgets and performance trends.
• Coach and develop operations leaders and teams to advance enterprise priorities.
