Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Managing Director, Tax Operations to lead major operational programs across Tax, translating priorities into scalable operating models and cross-functional execution plans. The role partners with Tax leadership to drive transformation, governance, and long-term growth across the Tax practice.

Responsibilities include strategic execution, operating model leadership, governance and risk management, and performance oversight, with supervisory duties over Directors and Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; or 15+ years of operations experience in a public accounting or professional services environment.
• Experience leading enterprise transformation and large cross-functional programs.
• CPA, PMP preferred

Responsibilities

• Strategic Execution & Program Leadership: Leads high-priority operational programs and translates priorities into actionable plans.
• Operating Model Leadership: Oversees implementation of scalable operating models and resolves process friction.
• Governance & Risk Management: Establishes governance routines and performance tracking to improve discipline.
• Financial & Performance Oversight: Partners with Finance and Tax leadership to monitor budgets and metrics.
