Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking an Office Manager to supervise seasonal staff, drive daily office operations, and maximize efficiency across multiple locations. You will lead recruiting, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with company standards while coordinating with HR on employee relations.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, tax prep knowledge or coursework, and proficiency with common software tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent related business experience.
• Course of study in management or in tax preparation and/or accounting preferred.
• Two years' previous management or supervisory experience required.
• Proficiency with computer software such as email, browser, Word, Excel, and accounting or tax prep software.
• Previous tax preparation experience and possessing a PTIN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads recruiting efforts and manages interviewing of seasonal employees for assigned area.
• Monitors associate performance to ensure quality standards, deadlines, and procedures are followed; corrects errors as needed.
• Reviews and approves work schedules and timecard approvals; monitors time tracker across shifts; coordinates with HR on employee relations issues.
• Ensures all locations meet company standards for setup, buildouts, technology, telecom, supplies, and facilities; maintains relationships with property managers.
• Provides guidance to employees in handling difficult problems or escalated disputes.
• Monitors performance and productivity reports; ensures revenue, cash control, and tax return counts meet targets.
