Job summary

MDS Staffing partners with a U.S.-based manufacturer to identify a hands-on Tax Manager focused on ASC 740 income tax provision and coordination of outsourced tax functions.

This role sits at the center of tax operations, acting as the internal quarterback with external advisors (RSM), sales tax providers (Avalara), and internal stakeholders to ensure timely tax filings, compliance, and strategic tax planning from the Frederick, MD area.

Qualifications

• ASC 740 income tax provision experience.
• Experience with C-Corp federal/state tax compliance.
• Familiarity with outsourced tax environments (Big 4 / regional firms).
• Working knowledge of Avalara or similar sales tax systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual ASC 740 tax provision, including current & deferred calculations and journal entries.
• Perform provision-to-return true-ups and variance analysis.
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations.
