Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to join our nationwide team. The role focuses on welding, fabrication, and assembly of above-ground metal storage tanks and related structures.

The ideal candidate can read drawings, operate welding equipment, and work effectively with a crew across multiple project sites. We offer competitive pay, health/dental/vision insurance, and a 401k with company match.

Qualifications

• Must communicate well and stay organized.
• Prospective employees should be able to solve problems and propose improvements.
• Punctuality and good attendance required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a team setting.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, and power tools.
• Weld tanks using SMAW/facings and FCAW processes.
• Use lifting equipment and tank scaffolding.
• Read erection and fabrication drawings and plan welding sequences.
• Complete safety analyses and site-specific training.
• Follow directions and work professionally with crew members.
• Other duties as assigned.
