Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to join our nationwide team. You will perform arc welding, plate welding, and related fabrication tasks on above-ground storage tanks across multiple sites, following drawings and safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, good communication, reliability, and a willingness to learn. We offer competitive pay, health insurance, a 401(k) match, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve problems and improve processes.
• Punctual attendance and reliability.
• Willingness to learn and work safely.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug testing may apply.
• Experience welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc welding, gouging, and plate welding per project specs.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders and other power tools.
• Read detailed fabrication drawings and plan welding sequences.
• Use lifting equipment, tank scaffolding, ladders, and related gear.
• Perform quality checks and non-destructive testing as required.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in site training.
• Collaborate with crew to complete tank construction and repairs.
