Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder (Nationwide) to join our growing, safety‑focused team. This role supports the construction, repair, and modification of above‑ground metal tanks across diverse projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and dependable attendance.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug testing required.
• Welding ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performing arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Using generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power and air tools.
• Welding plate with 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc processes.
• Handling lifting equipment and tank-related platforms and scaffolding.
• Reading detailed erection and fabrication drawings and planning weld sequences.
• Completing job safety analyses and site-specific safety trainings.
• Following directions and collaborating with crew members.
• Other duties as assigned.
