Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to join our nationwide team. The role involves welding, cutting, and assembling above-ground storage tanks across multiple sites with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have great communication and organization skills.
• Ability to solve problems and suggest improvements to our systems.
• Excellent attendance; punctual.
• Willingness to learn.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Willing to authorize background checks.
• No criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or acts of terrorism.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks.
• Willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing.
• Welding ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performing arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Using generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders, and other power tools.
• Welding tanks with various SMAW and FCAW processes.
• Using come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, winches, and other lifting equipment.
• Using tank shell buggies, tank scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment.
• Performing non-destructive quality examinations.
• Using gas monitors and safety equipment.
• Operating forklifts and aerial lifts.
• Reading detailed erection and fabrication drawings.
• Planning the sequence and methods of fitting up, welding, repairing, and constructing tanks.
• Completing job safety analyses and site safety trainings.
• Following directions and working professionally with crew.
