Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to join our nationwide team. This role supports design, fabrication, and field construction of above-ground storage tanks with a focus on quality and safety.

Based anywhere in the United States, you will work on various projects, perform welding with multiple processes, and coordinate with crews to keep tasks on schedule. Competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to solve problems and suggest improvements to our systems.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality expected.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
• Welding ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate power tools and lifting equipment as needed.
• Weld tanks using 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc welding processes.
• Utilize tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders and other equipment.
• Complete safety trainings and follow job safety procedures.
• Read erection and fabrication drawings and plan sequence of fitting up and welding.
