Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to join a nationwide team. The role involves arc and torch welding, cutting, and assembly of above-ground storage tanks and related structures across multiple locations. Candidates should be reliable, safety‑minded, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Willing to pass background checks and drug/alcohol testing
• Welding ability is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders and other power/air tools.
• Weld tanks using 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc processes.
• Use lifting equipment and tank scaffolding.
• Conduct non-destructive tests per quality procedures.
• Follow safety protocols, operate safety equipment, and maintain a clean work area.
• Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings and plan welding/assembly sequences.
• Collaborate with crew members to complete tank construction projects.
