Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder for nationwide projects. You will perform arc welding, cutting, and fabrications on storage tanks and related structures, using a range of tools and safety equipment. The role requires the ability to read drawings and work with a crew in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Clear communication and strong organization are essential.
• Candidates should be able to solve problems and suggest improvements to systems.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are expected.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a growing team.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States and pass background checks.
• Be willing to undergo pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug testing.
• Having welding ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting, gouging, and welding operations.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders, and power tools.
• Weld tanks using 7018, 7024, 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc processes.
• Use lifting equipment like hoists, come-alongs, and hydraulic jacks.
• Read erection and fabrication drawings and plan welding sequences.
• Maintain safety and quality through testing and inspections.
• Collaborate with the crew to complete projects on time.
