Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a Tank Builder / Welder for nationwide projects. The role requires welding and fabricating above-ground storage tanks, with duties spanning cutting, welding, rigging, and safety compliance.

You will work with various power tools and follow detailed drawings to build and repair tanks across multiple sites. The position demands reliable, on-time attendance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organization skills required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt; reliable and punctual attendance.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging as part of tank fabrication and repair.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders, and related power tools.
• Weld tanks using 7018/7024/6010 SMAW, FCAW and submerged arc processes.
• Assist with rigging, lifting, and positioning large tank components.
• Read fabrication drawings, follow job safety analyses, and maintain quality control.
