Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder for nationwide work. The role involves arc and torch cutting, welding on metal storage tanks, and operating heavy equipment across multiple sites. Candidates should demonstrate teamwork, reliability, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to solve problems and willingness to learn.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in a team environment.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to undergo background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders and related power tools.
• Weld plates using 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc processes.
• Utilize lifting equipment such as come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, and winches.
• Work with tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment.
• Conduct non-destructive testing including dye penetrant and oil tests.
• Use gas monitors and safety gear; observe safety protocols.
• Operate forklifts, man lifts, and other large lifting equipment.
• Read erection and fabrication drawings and plan welding sequences.
• Complete safety analyses and training; maintain professional conduct.
