Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a Tank Builder / Welder for nationwide projects. The role requires welding, cutting, lifting, and the ability to read detailed drawings. PTS emphasizes safety, teamwork, and delivering high-quality tanks across industries.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Willingness to undergo background checks

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and power tools.
• Weld plate with 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc welding.
• Use lifting equipment and tank handling gear.
• Work with tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders and related equipment.
• Conduct non-destructive tests like vacuum, oil, and dye penetrant checks.
• Utilize gas monitors and safety equipment.
• Operate forklifts and elevated platforms.
• Read erection and fabrication drawings and plan sequences.
• Complete safety analyses and site safety training.
• Collaborate with crew members to complete tasks on time.
• Additional duties as assigned
