Job summary

Generalist AI, Inc. seeks a senior technical recruiter to own end-to-end searches, map talent ecosystems, and craft highly personalized outreach. You will leverage AI tools and data insights to optimize sourcing while collaborating closely with hiring managers across SF and Boston.

You will drive candidate engagement, manage the interview process, and work with external agencies as needed to build a scalable recruiting engine. This is an in-person role based in San Francisco or Boston.

Qualifications

• 5+ years full-cycle technical recruiting.
• Track record of closing senior technical hires with competing offers.
• Real passive-sourcing depth with named-target searches.
• Data fluency with ATS reporting; comfortable with spreadsheets you built.
• Working with AI tooling in your workflow with good judgment.
• Exceptional written communication; clear outreach and briefs.
• Genuine technical curiosity and ability to read abstracts to assess relevance.
• Strong relationship management under pressure with candidates, managers, and agencies.
• Based in San Francisco or Boston, in person.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end search ownership: intake, strategy, sourcing, screening, loop design, closing, and onboarding handoffs.
• Proactively map target domains and identify prospective candidates.
• Source candidates from publications, conferences, repositories, and networks with personalized outreach.
• Integrate modern tooling and AI to enhance research and workflow while preserving quality.
• Track pipeline metrics and channel effectiveness to inform decisions.
• Partner with hiring managers on scope, interview loops, and debriefs.
• Engage candidates with a compelling mission and team context to close hires.
• Coordinate with external agencies when needed; support multi-site hiring in SF and Boston.
