Job summary

Generalist AI is expanding its talent team in the US, with senior roles across research science, ML infrastructure, robotics controls, and related domains. This role focuses on creating thoughtful talent strategies and mapping candidate ecosystems, partnering with the Head of Talent Acquisition to design and scale the hiring engine.

Qualifications

• 5+ years full-cycle technical recruiting.
• Proven record of closing senior technical hires with competing offers.
• Real passive-sourcing depth in new domains.
• Data fluency with ATS reporting and funnel analysis.
• Experience using AI tools in recruiting workflows with judgment.
• Exceptional written outreach, briefs, and internal recommendations.
• Genuine technical curiosity to assess research relevance.
• Strong relationship management under pressure with candidates and managers.
• Based in San Francisco or Boston and able to work in person.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end search ownership: intake, strategy, sourcing, screening, closing, onboarding handoffs.
• Proactive talent mapping to identify prospective candidates early.
• Targeted sourcing from publications, conferences, and referrals.
• Leverage AI tools for research, enrichment, and workflow enhancements.
• Track pipeline metrics and channel effectiveness to guide decisions.
• Partner with hiring managers on role scoping, calibration, and debriefs.
• Engage candidates with mission, tech scope, and team density.
• Maintain data quality and structured interviewing within Ashby.
• Collaborate with external agencies to supplement internal sourcing.
• Support in-person hiring across San Francisco and Boston, including site visits.
