Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons, prepare sterile fields, and support teams in the operating room across a variety of specialties. You will scrub, run mayo, and help precept newer staff and students.

Requires an Associate’s degree or Surgical Technology certificate and BLS certification within 30 days. New grads welcomed; sign-on and relocation bonuses offered; on-site work in Las Vegas area.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA)
• Education: Associate’s degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology
• New grads accepted

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Scrub and set up sterile field; ensure instruments are complete and functional.
• Run mayo/organize back table and Mayo supplies for team.
• Precept RNs and other technologists; mentor staff and students.
• Plan for intra-operative events and communicate needs clearly.
• Assist in case closing activities and post-case turnover.
• Teach RNs to scrub on a variety of cases.
• Collaborate with surgeon to anticipate needs and maintain calm during procedures.
