Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist surgeons, prepare operative fields, and mentor junior staff. The role requires standing in the OR, scrubbing, and running mayo as needed across diverse procedures. You will support patient safety and efficient case turnover in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include BLS within 30 days and an Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology; certificate of completion in Surgical Technology is required to perform in this role.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Surgical Technology certificate completed; Associate degree in Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub before patient entry into the room.
• Precept and mentor surgical techs and RNs for case preparation.
